The Barbaresco “Bordini” of Elvio Cogno is a wine with a considerable structure and elegance; it has also a pronounced character and a strong identity. This wine was born from the precious collaboration of Elvio Cogno with a friend of Neive and it represents a small adventure of Casa Cogno, that has always been one of the most important wine Barolo producer.
The Barbaresco Bordini has a red ruby color with some reflexes. The bouquet is equilibrate and delicate, with fruity currant and red fruits jam scents. It has also violet nuances, sweet tobacco and spice aromas. The flavor is velvety and rich, with excellent tannins and a good structure; for these peculiarities, it is perfect in combination with important platters based on red meat.
