The Alteni of Brassica has been one of the first White Sauvignon to be cultivated and produced in Italy: some vineyards used for its production go back up 1983. The name derives from the union of ‘alteni’, that are little walls made with stones that one time delimited the orchards in the area, and ‘brassica’ is a special flower with s brilliant yellow colour that in spring blooms in the vineyards. Another peculiarity are the pheasants of the labels, and they remember the wonderful birds that live in the Langhe’s woods. This elegant White Sauvignon, with an intense straw yellow colour, is sweet and fruited, with vegetal smells of elderflower and grapefruit. It is balanced and it presents a little bit sour structure. This wine is a good partner of shellfish, fish platters, fresh or seasoned cheeses.
