Description

The Brunello di Montalcino by Biondi-Santi is the first Brunello in history, created thanks to the intuition and passion of Clemente Santi at the end of the 19th century. It is a distinct wine, with a complex and refined personality. It is produced with a selection of Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown in its own vineyards, vinified in vitrified cement tanks with the use of indigenous yeasts. Aging for 24/30 months in Slavonian oak barrels follows. Equipped with a beautiful intense ruby red color, the nose is striking for its broad and deep, elegant and aromatic bouquet, on which notes of small red fruits and cherries stand out, accompanied by hints of white pepper, tobacco, licorice and citrus peel . On the palate, it is fragrant and fruity, with an enveloping flavor, characterized by a well-integrated tannic texture and good acidity. With a long and savory finish, it is a wine with excellent aging potential. Excellent wine for meditation, the Brunello di Montalcino by Biondi-Santi is perfect to drink in combination with roasted or braised red meats, game and aged cheeses.
