Description

The Barbera d'Alba by Pio Cesare is a refined wine, produced with grapes deriving from the vineyards of Pio family in Serralunga d’Alba, Monforte d'Alba, Treiso, Sinio and Diano d’Alba, Grinzane Cavour and those of attached wine-makers that all along work with Pio family. The wine presents an intense ruby red colour, and it has a smell of dog rose and current, of mature blackberries and cherries. The Barbera grapes deriving from the area of Barolo give to this wine an important character, besides a good structure and complexity. With spiced hints and red fruit, the Barbera d'Alba by Pio Ceseare is perfect if accompanied with lasagne, red meats, cheeses and salami.
