Description

Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo by Marchesi de Frescobaldi is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes carefully selected in Castelgiocondo area. These hills are characterised by a perfect altitude, draining soil and excellent South-West sun exposure: the combination of these features makes the best environment for this ancient vineyard. In the glass it is charming ruby red with violet shades. The bouquet is various and intense: fruity hints of cherry, blackberry and red berries jam come along with fresh notes of violet and wild rose. In the end, sweeter sensations of black pepper, cinnamon and licorice close the perception. The sip is dry, warm, soft and elegant. It owns an excellent structure and a silky tannic texture. In the mouth it's round and persistent. The after-taste is complex and wide. Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo by Marchesi de Frescobaldi can be appreciated both as meditation wine, and with braised beef meat, grilled veal, game and matured cheese.
