Tignanello by Marchesi Antinori winery is an intense and full-bodied red wine, made with Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Considered as the precursors of the famous Supertuscans wines, it is made only in the best vintages. The grapes come from the well-known vineyards around Tignanello estate. In the glass it is ruby red with intense purple shades. The bouquet is fruity with notes of plum, cassis, berries, spices like vanilla, cocoa, tobacco, scents of leather. The sip is enveloping, warm and silky, with soft tanning giving a pleasant texture. Tignanello by Marchesi Antinori is recommended with matured cold cuts and cheese, braised meat, game and grilled red meat.
