The Nebbiolo d'Alba Superiore San Ponzio of Gianni Gagliardo is an elegant and complex red wine, produced with Nebbiolo grapes grown in the San Ponzio vineyard in Monticello d’Alba district, in the hilly area of Roero. This Nebbiolo has a beautiful ruby red color with garnet reflections, while in the nose it is fruity with notes of ripe fruit and spices. The taste is complex, balanced, soft, enveloping and characterized by an excellent persistence. The Nebbiolo d'Alba Superiore San Ponzio is perfect to drink in combination with main courses of red meat, such as beef or lamb, fondue with truffles, “polenta concia” or aged cheeses.
