The Quattrocentenario of Castello della Paneretta winery is made with 100% of Sangiovese grapes; it was produced for the first time in 1996, to celebrate the 400 years since the first harvest made in the possessions of Castello della Paneretta. The Sangiovese grapes, after a careful selection, are vinified in steel for about 20 days; the wine then rests in new barriques for about 21 months before being bottled. In the glass it has a beautiful garnet red color, bright and brilliant. In the nose it develops complex and deep aromas, while in the mouth it expresses an excellent tannic texture, an excellent sapidity and freshness that together contribute to make the sip very harmonious. It is a wine that is perfect to drink with main meat courses and aged cheeses. Try it with a nice piece of taleggio and with baked duck.
