Description

The Chianti Classico of the Castello della Paneretta winery, composed mostly of Sangiovese and in small part by Canaiolo and Colorino, represents the passion of the family Albisetti, owner of the company, for a very unique territory. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a short period of maceration on the peels; the wine then ages in large oak barrels for 12 months, before being bottled. The aging in wood allows the wine to acquire a pleasing harmony and softness, while fully preserving the fruity richness typical of Sangiovese wine. In the glass it has a beautiful ruby red color, while in the nose it expresses intense aromas of cherry, marasca cherry, dark berried fruits, as well as hints of undergrowth, slightly spicy and balsamic. The taste is medium bodied, with well integrated tannins, with a fresh, savory and persistent finish. The Chianti Classico of Castello della Paneretta winery is perfect to drink in combination with maltagliati with meat sauce, typical Tuscan cold cuts, grilled red meat and aged cheeses.
