Description

The Barbaresco Albesani Vigna Borgese of Piero Busso  is an austere and elegant red wine, with a great personality. Nebbiolo grapes come from calcareous-clayey soils that give it aromatic breadth. After aging for at least 18 months in large barrels of the Piedmontese tradition, the wine shows a beautiful garnet red color while in the nose it exudes intense fruity and undergrowth. The palate is warm and enveloping, intense, with noble and soft tannins. The Barbaresco Albesani of Piero Busso goes well with mushroom risotto, game and red meat.

The Piero Busso winery was founded in Neive in 1948 thanks to Guido Busso, Piero's father. Towards the end of the 1970s, following the untimely death of Guido, Piero Busso took over the winery and in 1982 produced the first bottle of Barbaresco Albesani.
