The Telemaco of Campogrande is a very mineral and fragrant wine reminiscent of the great white wines of Burgundy. His name is dedicated both to Telemaco Signorini, a great Florentine painter who loved the Cinque Terre, and to Telemaco, son of Ulysses and Penelope, who never stopped waiting for his father’s return home patiently and persistently. Two virtues that must have every winemaker who undertakes the very difficult challenge of making wine in the Cinque Terre region. It is a wine that comes from the passion and desire of Elio Altare, a great barolist known all over the world, to get involved. After a slow aging of 14 months in oak barrels, it shows a straw yellow color with intense golden nuances. In the nose it develops an intense and composite bouquet, with aromas reminiscent of lemon, hazelnut, quince. Wine with a good body, in the mouth it is fresh, sapid and pleasantly mineral. The Telemaco of Campogrande is perfect to drink in combination with first and second courses based on fish, white meat and vegetables, shellfish soups.
