Description

The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore of Grattamacco is one of the most famous and representative Bolgheri wine of its territory, obtained from a blend of 65% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% of Merlot and 15% of Sangiovese. After 18 months of aging in barrique and 12 months in bottle, the wine shows a beautiful brilliant ruby red color. In the nose it develops an intense and complex bouquet, fruity, with hints of berries and spices. Wine with an excellent aging potential, in the mouth it is well balanced and mineral, with an enveloping flavor and a tannic and persistent finish. The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore Grattamacco is perfect to drink in combination with great classics of Tuscan cuisine, second courses of red meat or medium-aged cheeses.

Grattamacco, founded in 1977 by Piermario Meletti Cavallari from Bergamo, is the second company in the history of the DOC Bolgheri.
