The Barbera d'Asti Superiore "Dedica" of Cascina Gilli winery is a wine obtained by carefully selected Barbera grapes which is well suitable, for its nature, to aging. After 9 months of aging in barriques, at sight it shows an intense ruby red color, while in the nose it reveals hints of berries, cherry emphasized by notes of mint and sage. On the palate it’s round, well-structured with a long final. It’s perfect to drink with game, roast meat and aged cheeses.

The Cascina Gilli, set in a historic building dating back to the 1700s, is located in Castelnuovo don Bosco, in the Asti province. Giovanni Vergnano, who has been managing Cascina Gilli since the beginning of the 1980s, thanks to his foresight he has managed to recover historic vines such as Freisa, Bonarda and Malvasia....
