Description

The Barolo Cerretta of Schiavenza winery is a superb red wine that takes its name from the homonymous cru on the hills between Serralunga and Monforte d'Alba.

On view, it shows a beautiful deep ruby red color, while at nose it release a large and composite bouquet, with notes of red fruits, spices and liquorice.

In mouth, it is wide and austere with a well-balanced tannic body and slight fruity notes on the persistent final.

This Barolo is excellent to drink in combination with roasted or grilled red meat, risotto with porcini mushrooms, truffle dishes and medium seasoning cheeses.


Schiavenza

The Schiavenza winery was founded in Serralunga in 1956. The origin of the name has to be searched in the past; in fact in times past the Opera Pia Barolo owned both the domain and the lands, and sharecropper called “Schiavenza” in dialect, worked the vineyards.
