The Chianti Classico of Fontodi is a prestigious Tuscan red wine made by organic methods and aged for at least 18 months in small French oak barrels.
On view, it shows a fine and intense ruby red color, while into the glass it gets off a complex and fruity bouquet with hints of red fruits, currants, cherries and sweet spices.
Its taste is austere and elegant with wide mineral and balsamic shades on the final.
It is excellent if drunk with red meat courses, cured meat and seasoned cheeses.
