Description

Cotes Rotie is one of the eldest vineyard of France, with traditions that go back up the Romans’ period. Marcel Guigal is one of the most known wine-makers of this territory and he produces excellent wines; this wine shows a brilliant ruby red colour, while its smell reveals scents of blackberries, plums, jams and spices. This wine is rich and well-structured, with important tannins: thanks to its peculiarities, it is excellent if drunk together with salami, red meats, game and cheeses.

Built by Etienne Guigal in 1946, the property hosts a big assortment of wines, which are known all over the world from more than 2400 years. After that, in 1995 the winery has bought the celebrate Chateau d’Ampuis, an important historical and oenological memorial, whose history is connected with the title ‘Cote-Rotie’....
