The 2013 is the first vintage starting from wich the Sorì Tildin changes its name from Nebbiolo to Barbaresco.
This wine is produced with Nebbiolo grapes deriving from the “Sorì Tildin” vineyard, in Barbaresco; this vineyard takes its name from the dialectal term, “Sorì” that in Piedmont means the top of a Southern hill, while "Tildin" is the nickname given to Clotilde Rey, the grandmother of Angelo Gaja. This wine is elegant and refined, with a purple colour and a complex bouquet, in addition to fruited perfumes of blackberry, mixed berries, jam of mature red fruit, coffee, licorice, spices and dry fruit. This wine is endowed with refined and elegant tannins that give it nobility and great structure. It combines perfectly with grilled red meats, game, platters based on the famous Alba White Truffle and seasoned cheeses.
