The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi “Massaccio” of the Fazi Battaglia winery is an excellent white wine obtained with the best Verdicchio grapes harvested on the great hills of Cupramontana, in the province of Ancona. Thanks to the particular climatic conditions of these hills, with cool nights and hot and dry days, the grapes are left to overripe and are harvested late respect to the normal harvest date. With a nice golden yellow color, at nose it has pleasant hints of ripe fruit due to the presence of the noble rot with notes of mint and dates. In the mouth it comes fresh and delicate, composite. Endowed with a long and persistent final, the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Massaccio Tenute San Sisto is exceptional to drink in combination with savory starters such as “vitello tonnato” and Russian salad.
