The Sancerre Comte Lafond is an excellent white wine produced in the Loira Vallley and is made with 100% of Sauvignon grapes grown in the Amigny, Bue, Chavignol, Reigny e Verdigny villages. The maison Comte Lafond represents one of the oldest and most famous winery of the Loire in France and since the end of the 1700s it is part of the Baron de Ladoucette winery. In order to preserve all the aromatic components of the grape, the vinification and the refinement are made exclusively in steel. The Sancerre Compte Lafond is a fresh and pleasant wine; it has a nice straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. Its bouquet is wide and intense, floral and fruity, with notes of white flowers and elder, in addition to a pleasantly mineral background. The taste is savory and fresh, long and persistent, with typical notes of flint. The Sancerre Compte Lafond is perfect to drink with vegetables first courses, seafood appetizers or fresh cheeses.
