The Le Colombare of Pieropan is a sweet white wine, a passito wine that has been produced for many generations and only in the best vintages by the Pieropan family. The hand-picked and carefully selected Garganega grapes are then put to dry on traditional bamboo reeds in a “fruttaio” until the end of February on average. The result is a wine with a beautiful golden yellow color that is consistent and brilliant, that in the nose develops a wide and composite bouquet, sweet and fruity, with evident hints of ripe fruit, such as quince and dried apricot. In the mouth it confirms the sweetness perceived into the nose and it is balanced, soft, warm and persuasive. The Recioto of Soave Classico Le Colombare of Pieropan winery is perfect to drink at the end of dinner in combination with dessert, fruit tarts or dry pastries, but it is also an excellent accompaniment for mature or blue cheeses.
