Description

The Franciacorta Brut Nature by Il Mosnel is a high-quality sparkling wine, renowned for its purity and elegance, produced in the famous Franciacorta region in Lombardy. This wine stands out as a "Brut Nature," indicating a very low sugar content, less than 3 grams per liter. It is made with a blend dominated by the elegant Chardonnay grapes and the fruity nuances of Pinot Bianco, enriched by the precise and structured touch of Pinot Nero. The grapes used for this cuvée are exclusively organic, carefully selected, and sourced from the estate's own vineyards. The winemaking follows the traditional method, with an initial fermentation partly in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and partly in small oak barrels, followed by at least 24 months of aging on the lees.  In the glass, it impresses with its crystalline yellow color with greenish reflections, accompanied by fine and persistent bubbles that lend elegance and liveliness to the wine. On the nose, the bouquet is complex and refined, characterized by notes of white flowers such as hawthorn, honeysuckle, and verbena, along with citrus hints of citron and grapefruit. On the palate, it is generous, fresh, and harmonious, with a good structure and a long, savory finish. The tasting sensations faithfully reflect the perceived aromas, with a pleasant acidity that balances the low sugar content. The Franciacorta Brut Nature by Il Mosnel is versatile and lends itself to numerous culinary pairings. It is ideal as an aperitif but also pairs perfectly with fish dishes, seafood, sushi, and fresh cheeses. It also goes well with white meats and delicate first courses.

In 1976 the cave acquired the name of ‘Mosnel’: this word has a Celtic origin and it means heap of stones, on which the cave is collocated. Today the winery is managed by the fifth generation: the...
