Description

Barbera d’Alba doc Superiore Vigna del Cuculo by Cavallotto is a wine made with 100% Barbera grapes coming from the namesake vineyard within Bricco Boschis cru in Castiglione Falletto. It’s a very well sun-exposed hill: the origin of grapes along with the accurate vinification with long maceration on the skins make this wine a great product. Then, the long ageing in big oak barrels makes the rest. In the glass, it is intense and fascinating with a ruby red colour with violet shades. The bouquet is intense and expressive, floral and fruity, with hints of blackberry, small berries and ripe plum, along with charming notes of spices and tobacco. The sip is structured, full-bodied, enveloping, recalling the sensations of the bouquet. The tannic texture is mellow and the ageing potential is excellent. We recommend Barbera d’Alba doc Superiore Vigna del Cuculo by Cavallotto with typical piedmont cold cuts, savoury first dishes and grilled red meat.
