Description

Barolo docg del Comune di La Morra by Gillardi is an elegant example of Barolo, made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes coming from Santa Maria and Serra dei Turchi crus in La Morra. The main feature of this wine is the fast wood and bottle maturation. The result is an extraordinary drinkability after few years from the harvest, always maintaining a great ageing potential and a charming complexity. In the glass it is garnet red with orange shades. The bouquet is wide, complex and various, with hints of ripe cherry, licorice, sweet spices and toasted notes. The sip is warm, enveloping, with a great aromatic persistence and soft and elegant tannins. We recommend Barolo docg del Comune di La Morra by Gillardi with braised or flamed red meat, game, matured cheese.
