Description

Barolo docg Serra by Giovanni Rosso is an intense and full-bodied red wine made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes harvested in Serralunga d’Alba municipality. The selected grapes are handpicked in October. The soft pressing allows the extraction of the freshest part of the must; the maceration with the skins lasts over 25 days in concrete tanks with daily pumping over and délestage. In the glass, it is intense ruby red with garnet shades. The bouquet is juicy and wide, with hints of forest berries, raspberry and the typical balsamic scent, which is a feature of Serralunga soil. The sip is intense, textured, with strong tannins and a long-lasting persistence. Barolo Serra by Giovanni Rosso is recommended with stewed red meat, such as oven-backed lamb, “civet” hare, and overcooked veal, matured cheeses and game.
