Description

The Barolo Via Nuova by E. Pira & Figli is a superb red wine that is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes coming from various prestigious vineyards located in the municipalities of Barolo, Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba. Via Nuova was the name of a small vineyard located near an ancient road that connected Barolo to Novello, which has now become a path through the vineyards.  At sight it presents a beautiful bright garnet red color while on the nose it expresses an ethereal and persistent bouquet, characterized by intense floral and fruity scents, ranging from dried flowers to dried fruit up to citrus fruits and almonds. In the mouth it is broad and powerful, dry and tasty, with an important tannic body and a long and persistent finish. The Barolo Via Nuova by E. Pira & Figli Chiara Boschis goes perfectly with dishes based on red meat, game, truffle dishes and medium-aged cheeses. With a soft but austere taste, it is an excellent meditation wine.
