Garnet red
Fresh and ethereal
Elegant and fine
The Barolo La Serra by Marcarini is a red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated in the prestigious La Serra cru near La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe region. This wine is renowned for its elegance and finesse, attributes that stem from the southeast-facing vineyards and the unique soil composition, which is low in organic matter but rich in mineral salts and trace elements. During the winemaking process, the Barolo La Serra undergoes a long, traditional maceration followed by aging in large Slavonian oak casks for at least two years. The result is a complex Barolo, boasting a beautiful garnet red color with ruby reflections and a subtle orange hue. Its bouquet is ethereal, fresh, and elegant, rich in floral notes of rose and violet, complemented by hints of red fruits and spices. On the palate, it is distinguished by a fine and silky tannic structure and a pleasant freshness, making it enjoyable even when young, yet with significant aging potential. Characterized by a long and persistent finish, the Barolo La Serra from Marcarini pairs perfectly with substantial dishes like roasts, game and aged cheeses.
