Description

The Nizza DOCG Cipressi by Michele Chiarlo is a red wine made exclusively from Barbera grapes, cultivated on the hills around Castelnuovo Calcea. After aging for one year in large barrels and a few months in the bottle, it results in an excellent wine with a beautiful bright ruby red color and purple highlights. The nose is dominated by fruity aromas with notes of red fruits, ripe cherry, and raspberry; the bouquet is precise and elegant, with pleasant spicy notes on the finish. On the palate, it is ample, complex, and harmonious, well-structured, and characterized by a persistent finish. With a savory and round aftertaste, the Nizza Cipressi by Michele Chiarlo pairs very well with traditional Piedmontese first courses, pasta with ragù, risottos, cured meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
