Description

The Barbera d'Asti La Bogliona by the Scarpa winery is a full-bodied red wine obtained from Barbera grapes grown on the "i Bricchi" estate, located on the border between Castel Rocchero and Acqui Terme. Thanks to the long aging of 32 months in French oak barrels, 6 months in steel tanks and 4 months in the bottle, The Barbera d'Asti La Bogliona has excellent aging potential. At sight it is striking for its beautiful intense ruby colour, with purple reflections. On the nose it develops a deep and intense, mineral bouquet, with evident hints of red fruit and plum. In the mouth it is vigorous, well structured and characterized by a long and persistent finish. The Barbera d'Asti La Bogliona by Scarpa is excellent to drink with roast veal, medium-aged cheeses, agnolotti or carpaccio of veal tongue with green sauce.
