Description

The Barbaresco by Carlo Giacosa is a structured wine produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in various vineyards owned in Barbaresco. After the fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature, the wine is aged in French oak barrels from 20hl to 45hl for a few months. After a further rest period in bottle in the silence and darkness of the cellar, in the glass it shows a beautiful garnet red color. In the nose the bouquet is broad and intense, with fruity notes of ripe red fruit and blackberries, in addition to spicy hints of licorice and cinnamon. When tasted, it is striking for its tannic texture and for its important structure, for its savory flavor and for its long persistence. The Barbaresco by Carlo Giacosa is perfect to drink in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
