Description

The Barolo Cerviano-Merli by Marziano Abbona is a wine produced with selected Nebbiolo grapes coming from vineyards perfectly exposed to the south of the area of the same name in Novello. It is a robust and attractive wine, which is produced only in the best vintages: the 2019 vintage was characterized by a strong and austere structure. After a long refinement of 38 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle, it presents a very intense ruby red color enriched by garnet reflections. The bouquet is composite and fruity, with evident notes of ripe red fruit and jam, to which are added nuances of undergrowth and balsamic herbs. Of notable structure and depth, with a rich, enveloping and persistent flavour, when tasted it is characterized by austere tannins and great elegance. The Barolo Cerviano-Merli by Marziano Abbona pairs beautifully with important dishes based on red meat, game and mature cheeses. The Barolo Cerviano-Merli by Marziano Abbona has an excellent aging potential of up to 20-30 years.
