Description

Barolo PerCristina is the wine that Domenico Clerico dedicated to his unfortunate daughter, who passed away at only 7 years old. Endowed with extraordinary personality and vigor, it is produced only in the best vintages, using carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes from a beautifully exposed vineyard within the Cru Mosconi, in Monforte d'Alba. After 10 long years of aging in the cellar, it presents itself in the glass with a beautiful intense garnet red color. On the nose, it impresses with its extraordinary aromatic power, with an intoxicating and enveloping bouquet, fine with distinct fruity and spicy notes, including ripe blackberry, blueberry, and blackcurrant, on a background of cinnamon, light vanilla, bitter cocoa, and a spicy finish. On the palate, it is austere, elegant, and complex, full-bodied, persistent, and vigorous. Domenico Clerico's Barolo PerCristina is perfect to enjoy with red meat dishes such as roasts and braised meats, game, preparations enriched with the famous white truffle of Alba, and aged cheeses. Barolo PerCristina is the jewel of the Domenico Clerico winery: it is much more than just a wine, it is a work of art for true enthusiasts.
