Dolcetto is the earliest ripening black grape variety cultivated in Piedmont, maturing in the second half of September, when its clusters are rich in sugar and suitable for table consumption as well. A fresh and light red wine, produced with grapes from vineyards in the Langhe, mainly in Dogliani region, the Dolcetto d'Alba Colombè by Renato Ratti shows a ruby red color and violet reflections. In the glass, it releases intense, floral, and fruity aromas, with hints of cherry, ripe plum, and violet. On the palate, it is balanced, fresh, with just the right amount of tannins, fragrant and winey with a delicately bitter aftertaste. The Dolcetto Colombè by Renato Ratti is an excellent wine for any meal or served paired with salami and tuma di Langa.
