The Merlò was born in 2004 to show the potentiality of the great French wines if cultivated on the Langhe hills. The Merlò by Gillardi is a soft and powerful wine, made with Merlot in purity and sharpened for 24 months in small barrel. This wine is produced only in the best vintages and it has a red intense ruby color, that with the ages it extends to the pomegranate. At the nose it develops aromas of red fruits, plum, cherries, currant, blueberries. The taste is harmonious, persuasive, rich and juicy. The tannins are soft with balanced acidity. The Merlò by Gillardi is a soft, harmonious wine and pleasant wine, that well combines with important first courses or roasts and braised meat.
