Among the more successful experiments of the Gillardi winery there is the Harys, a Langhe Rosso wine refined in very hold small wood barrels for 18 months. The names of Harys is Syrah, but written on the contrary: in fact this wine is made with 100% of Syrah, as a tribute to the historical bond of the Gillardi family with the classical wines of the Rodano valley. The color of this wine is red ruby with reflexes, with moderate transparency; it is alcoholic, tannic and with a good structure. Elegant and fine wine, it is characterized also by a slightly accentuated aroma of black pepper. You can combine this wine with aged cheeses or second dishes of meat like stews and roasts. A curiosity… every year the label is made with a different color!
The 2020 vintage appears to be fine and elegant, even if the tannin is still a little unripe.
