Verduno Pelaverga Basadone by Castello di Verduno is a refined and authentic example of Pelaverga winemaking, a rare and autoctone vine variety harvested in Verduno territory since the 17th Century. After a careful manual harvest and an accurate ageing, in the glass it is ruby red with bright and intense shades. The bouquet is fruity and fresh, with notes of cherry and strawberry besides the typical black pepper and nutmeg scents. The sip is delicate, enveloping, with silky tannins. The aftertaste is long and persistent. Verduno Pelaverga Basadone by Castello di Verduno is recommended with mushrooms risotto, first dishes with meat sauce, eggs and selected poultry.
