Over ten different types of grapes, including the Croatina and the Nebbiolo, make the red wine called Maggiorina. The grapes are picked up in old vineyards planted following an ancient method, the Maggiorina one, from which the wine takes the name. It is a very particular method of cultivation, created by the architect Antonelli (the same that designed the Mole Antonelliana in Turin). The Maggiorina by Le Piane is a yelted, mineral and spiced red wine. The color of this wine is ruby red; to the nose, it is yelted and complex with pleasan perfumes of rose, cherry and raspberries. With its tannic final, it is perfect if combined with second dishes of meat for example with raviolis wit ragout sauce.
