Description

The Barolo Acclivi by Burlotto is a fascinating red wine, produced only in the best vintages from a rigorous selection of Nebbiolo grapes grown in the best and old estate vineyards, located in Verduno. The choice of the vineyards and the relative assembly vary according to the vintage. The hand-picked grapes are vinified in open French oak vats. This is followed by aging in large Allier oak barrels for a period ranging from 20 to 33 months depending on the vintage; subsequently the wine rests for a further 9 months in the bottle. This Barolo is strongly representative of the Verduno area; in the glass it shows a beautiful ancient garnet red colour. On the nose the bouquet is broad and intense, with notes of plum, blackberry, violet, aromatic herbs, in addition to tobacco and licorice notes. On the palate it is intense and unbridled, with a perfectly integrated and silky tannic texture. Equipped with a long finish and pleasant harmony, the Barolo Acclivi by Burlotto is perfect to drink in combination with roasted or braised red meats, game and aged cheeses. Equipped with excellent aging potential, it is an excellent meditation wine.
