Description

Massetino, defined as a ‘second vin’, was created after the selection made for Masseto grapes; in fact it shares the same identity of its older brother. The inaugural vintage of Massetino was harvested in 2017 and released in 2019, precisely 30 years after the first vintage of Masseto. Massetino 2019 shows the most typical features of this vintage. The colour is deep and dark; the nose is characterized by scents of ripe blackberries, new spicy oak and licorice. Into the mouth the wine is rich and round, enveloping with a velvety and refined structure, well supported by a fresh hint of acidity and strong tannin.
