Description

The “Monfortino” Barolo wine of Conterno is one of the ambassador of the Italian oenology. This wine is grown from the Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated in a favourable area for its climate and soil. This Barolo wine owns a classic and traditional style, while it presents an intense ruby red colour, even if a little transparent. Its smell reveals an intense, various and spiced perfume, with hints of mature red fruit, cherry, licorice, tobacco, truffle and black pepper. Moreover, this wine has a great complexity and personality, besides great body and balance, persistence and elegance. These characteristics make of it excellent in combination with red meats, game, seasoned or fresh cheeses.


Conterno Giacomo

This cave was founded by Giacomo Conterno in 1900 in Monforte d’Alba: Giacomo’s parents were farmers.
