This wine has been defined “rebelled wine” by Luigi Veronelli; this wine is one of the most characteristic wine of Piedmont: the name derives from the dialectal term of Piedmont, used in order to indicate the grapes, called “grignola” because it contains more acinus than the other grapes. The colour of this wine is not very intense and it is a ruby red one, with a good transparency; moreover, this wine emanates a soft perfume of red fruits, besides floral sensations of geranium and grass. The taste is fresh and it is perfect in combination with salami, grilled or braised white meats, typical platters of Piedmont and medium seasoned cheeses, not so tasty.
