Description

La "Monella" by Giacomo Bologna is a sparkling Barbera del Monferrato with a young and lively character; it owes its name to the tradition of Giacomo Bologna's father, who used to select the most “rebellious” barrel of Barbera in the cellar, recognizing it by its characteristic fizz. In the glass, it is characterized by a ruby red color with violet reflections, accompanied by a slight effervescence. On the nose, it presents a wide and fruity bouquet, with hints of red fruits and dog rose. On the palate, it is lively, with good body and very fresh. The Barbera del Monferrato La Monella by Giacomo Bologna pairs well with typical Piedmontese cured meats, flavorful first courses, white and red meats, boiled meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
