In 1972 Aldo Vajra began to interest himself in the winery of his grandparents in Vergne (a locality situated between La Morra and Barolo), because he wanted to go beyond the limits of his predecessors. The cave’s works started in 1986, and since 1984 Aldo and his wife carry on the wine production, that his grandparents had only begun. The winery of Aldo and his wife Milena is a personal one, halfway between modernity and tradition, between two different generations. The area where the winery is collocated is fascinating and peaceful, but also full of discoveries: in fact, Vajra family produces the white Langhe and the intriguing Kyè, two types of wine that we do not expect to find in Barolo territory. Moreover, the winery produces Barbera and Nebbiolo, too, two red wines, in which there is the wish of communicate the vineyards’ characteristics.
