Antoine Sanzay estate is a gem of 12 hectares in the heart of Loire valley, within the Saumour-Champigny appellation. Antoine took the reins of the company in 1999, establishing the fifth generation of winemakers, since 1880. The majority of vineyards is Cabernet Franc, and the rest is addressed to the production of Chenin Blanc. The plants are long-lived and are very well exposed. Into the vineyards, the respect for nature and the ecosystem are a great priority. The treatments are traditional, harvest is always handmade and the cellar procedures follow strict protocols with very few chemical interventions. In this way, wine can evolve in a natural way. Spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts are the best practices and the long ageing into underground rooms improve this approach. Domaine Antoine Sanzay is a well-known wine producer within the French wine panorama thanks to the high quality and innate elegance of its wines.
