Domaine Delaporte

Domaine Delaporte is a precious gem located in the charming Chavignol village, in the heart of Sancerre region, well-known for its refined Sauvignon Blanc. This is an ancient family-owned winery, established in 1880 and handed down for generations. Since 2010 the Domaine is run by Mathieu, great-grandson of the founder, who follows each aspect of the 33 hectares and the technical cellar. Since 2015 the winery has been following the organic guidelines, reducing the human intervention into the vineyards and running the manual harvest. The vineyards are mainly Sauvignon Blanc, besides a smaller production of Pinot Noir. The soils are rich in limestone and minerals, giving the wine extraordinary sapid and wide notes.
