Maurice Grumier is a Champagne winemaker in Venteuil, in the heart of La Marne Valley, within Champagne region. Grumier family praises a winemaking tradition since 1743, but the great success of this tiny estate is given to Armand Grumier. In 1928 he decided to make his own wine from the estate grapes and started producing his champagne. The current owner Fabien is Armand’s great-grand-son and runs 8,5 hectares split in 29 plots located in Venteuil, Reuil, Dormans, Nesle le Repons, Vrigny and Festigny municipalities. Grumier family grows all vine varieties used to produce Champagne, and currently the winery counts on average 70000 bottles. Maison Maurice Grumier Champagne has a distinctive and rich aromatic profile, an elegant structure, a strong freshness and a pleasant mineral sensation thanks to the terroir. Each bottle is the result of an accurate grape selection and a slow and long ageing, improving complexity and finesse.
