The Domaine Denis Mortet was founded by Charles Mortet in 1956. As often happened in Burgundy, the grapes produced were sold and not vinified. It was only in 1978 that his son Denis, with the help of his wife Laurence, began to bottle and sell the wine directly. Today the Domaine Denis Mortet counts 11.2 hectares of vineyards worked since 1996 without the help of herbicides and chemical fertilizers. The first recognition of the work of Domaine Denis Mortet comes in 1995 when, the Revue du Vin de France, appoints Denis Mortet the best producer in France. The wines produced are excellent; they are an emblematic expression of a unique territory like that of Burgundy.
