Bruno Giacosa

Bruno Giacosa is one of the representatives of the Piedmontese wine history, whose wines are considered a cult wine by wine lovers of all the world. He is a  winemaker of immense skill; after having started helping his father Mario in the winery, founded by his grandfather Carlo in 1900, he bought the vineyard "Falletto” in Serralunga d'Alba in 1982 and then the vineyards "Asili" and "Rabajà" in Barbaresco in 1996, which bring life to unforgettable Barolo and Barbaresco wines. Today he is the owner of 20 hectares of vineyards located between the municipalities of Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra and Barbaresco in the heart of Langhe hills. The philosophy of Bruno Giacosa is that a great wine originates from the vineyard, using methods that respect the rhythms of nature and that let the vine express itself at its best. His pursuit of perfection does not allow exceptions, for example if the vinification of a vintage does not meet his criteria, the wine is not bottled. Since 2004 the winery has been run by his daughter Bruna.
