Aimery Sieur D'Arques

The Aimery Sieur d'Arques winery is situated at Limoux, in France. In 1531 the wines of Limoux became famous, thanks to a Benedictine monk of the abbey of Saint-Hilaire, close to Limoux, it produces the first effervescent wine to the world: the blanquette of Limoux. The principal characteristic of this French wine zone is that it is found in the confluence of two different types of climate, the first ones to understand it were the enologists of the Aimery Sieur d'Arques winery, so they become the most important and prestigious winery of Limoux. The wine produced by the firm Aimery Sieur d'Arques is an elegant and light wine, pleasantly soft, from a gilded and fizzy aspect. It is produced with grapes of Mauzac, Chenin and Chardonnay.
