Veglio’s cave is settled in the area between La Morra and Monforte d’Alba and it consists of 11 hectares. The production is about 50.000 bottles every year, above all those of Barolo Docg wines. The history of this winery began in 1992, when Mauro Veglio decides to build an own cave: he did not want to sell the grapes on the market of big commercial caves, but he wanted to produce grapes for the wine. In this manner a wine production began: this kind of production uses only sulphur and verdigris, because they are not detrimental or toxic for health’s man, while the grapes’ fermentation takes place in a natural way, without the add of yeasts. Through this procedure it is possible to transform a fruit in a wine’s bottle, which contains a natural and elegant taste.
